David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage & Giraffe Centre.

Daphne Sheldrick's Animal Orphanage, only visited for an hour every days between 11am to 12 pm. During this one hour visit, the baby elephants are brought out to play and fed. Visitors can watch them from behind a rope. Wardens are on hand to explain the work of the orphanage and to answer any questions raised by the visitors.

Giraffe Centre.

Giraffe Center is a non-governmental, non-profit making organization which was founded in 1979 by Betty and Jock Leslie-Melville as a core breeding center of the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. Giraffe Centre deals with breeding of the endangered Rothschild giraffe, Ecology Trips, National Environmental Competitions, and Production of resource materials among other environmental conservation activities.
